The IPL Purple Cap is awarded to the bowler who takes the most wickets in a season. The cap changes hands throughout the tournament as bowlers compete to finish as the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2025.

IPL 2025 Purple Cap Race – How It Works

The bowler with the most wickets at any point in the tournament wears the Purple Cap during matches. If multiple players have the same wickets, the bowler with a better economy rate ranks higher. The final Purple Cap winner will be declared after the IPL 2025 Final.
